Nemo Galaxy Plakat Betta Male

The Nemo Galaxy Plakat Betta (Male) features a vivid mix of fiery orange, deep red, and dark accents paired with iridescent white blue galaxy scaling. As a Plakat (short-finned) variety, this Betta offers superior agility, high disease resistance, and robust health compared to long-finned strains.

 Water Parameters

Plakat Bettas thrive in warm, stable, tropical conditions. Because they carry the “marble gene” which gives them their Galaxy pattern, keeping their water warm and clean is essential to prevent their colors from fading.

• Temperature: 76°F to 82°F (24°C to 28°C) — 78°F–80°F is optimal.
• pH Level:5 to 7.5 (slightly acidic to neutral).
• Water Hardness: 2 to 12 dGH (prefers relatively soft water).
• Ammonia & Nitrite: Strictly 0 ppm.
• Nitrate: Below 20 ppm

🥩 Diet & Nutrition

These fish are strict carnivores requiring a high-protein diet. Avoid generic tropical fish flakes.

• Staple Diet: High-quality, protein-dense betta pellets containing carotenoids to enhance the “Nemo” orange tones.
• Protein Supplements: Frozen or live foods like Brine Shrimp (Artemia), Bloodworms, Daphnia, and Microworms. Feeding Artemia/Brine shrimp deepens their red-orange hues.
• Feeding Frequency: Feed once or twice daily, only what they can consume in 2 minutes.
