Bring natural beauty and interesting activity to your aquarium with the Mottled Corydoras. This attractive freshwater bottom-dwelling fish is admired for its unique mottled body patterns, beautiful grey and silver coloration, delicate fins, and characteristic whisker-like barbels.
Mottled Corydoras are peaceful community aquarium fish that spend much of their time exploring the aquarium substrate in search of food. Their interesting feeding behaviour and attractive appearance make them a popular choice among freshwater aquarium enthusiasts.
These active bottom dwellers look especially beautiful in planted aquariums with natural decorations, driftwood, aquatic plants, and soft sandy substrates.
Mottled Corydoras are social fish and generally prefer living in groups of their own kind. They can be kept with other peaceful community fish when suitable tank conditions are maintained.
Provide clean, well-oxygenated water, a soft substrate, hiding places, and a nutritious sinking diet to help them remain healthy and active.
Care tip: Keep Corydoras in groups of preferably six or more of the same species. Provide soft sand or smooth substrate to protect their delicate barbels. Maintain good filtration and regular water changes.
